Rant!

I was doing quick sketches of people in the subway, 'cause if you wanna be an artist, you have to practice every opportunity you get, and I practice way too little. So I was sketching that man who was sitting in front of me and that woman who was talking to him noticed it.
And she is like: "Hey, girl, do you have a right to do that? I think not! If you wanna draw, hire yourself a model!"
I say: "Hm, ok, I won't draw you, if you don't want to."
So I started drawing a girl who is sitting nearby and playing with her iPhone.
And another woman who saw the whole situation says: "Girl, stop drawing already and close your sketchbook!"

GAAAAAAH!!! DAMN IT, PEOPLE, does it hurt you in some way, if I draw you? Do I have to ask your permission to sketch you, while you're minding your own business and often aren't even noticing I'm drawing you? Maybe you want other people to ask you a permission just to look at you? You know what, if you don't want people to look at you, don't use the subway, buy yourself a car! Oh, wait, but I wasn't drawing YOU, I was drawing that girl with the iPhone over there. So what's the matter? Are you jealous that I want to draw her instead of your ugly face?
